As I approach the end of my fist term of instruction on classical guitar under the tutelage of Lawrence Farwick I would like to commend him strongly as an instructor and coach. Taking up an instrument late in life and with a hearing impediment is a significant challenge.
Lawrence has demonstrated a profound and passionate knowledge of his subject, a very high compatibility with me as an individual, patience and kindness, enthusiasm and resilience, tact and sensitivity as well as enthusiasm and humour. My lessons have been a real pleasure and I’ve eagerly anticipated both daily practice and actual lessons well beyond my expectations. This is due, in no small measure, to Lawrence’s influence. I’m looking forward to continuing my studies in the coming year.
